Lounge Update::::::(

Recommended Posts

Now today is a new day. Yesterday not s single problem. Yea !!!! Well heres today. My customers start pulling out and sure enough the police are sitting across the street from the shop and chasing down the customers and harassing them also.

Its amazing to think that people don`t like cops but yet they pull this kind of shyt and think its okay. Amazing as fuck huh?

Yea so we closed down the lounge for now until we can figure a way around the cops. We have a suprise for them. If and when the liscense is legit we will blow that place up even bigger then it is now and then go to internal afairs and start the reverse harassment.

I will not be a tax paying business and sit here and take this shyt.

Oh hookah loung and seperate smoke shop for sale $95,000 firm.

Any ideas short of selling and moving away please let me know.

Thanks, Neal

As many of you know that fucking cop was busting my customers balls yesterday. Well at 10:20 last night I was arrested for an old warrent I was issued but was never even told about. Yea thats right the police can get a warrent issued and then wait until they see you to arrest you. Gota love the system. Well so they come in and they can`t prove we are doing business especialy since I am doing a free bowl night every night until the lounge is 100% legal. So he digs up this warrent. Any bets on what his next move will be?

i thought as long as you have filed you can operate and just show the forms if questioned until you get the official licenses back, but county to county will be different.

i think you can get any warrant thrown out if it is served way after it was issued if they didnt serve the warrant or notify you when it was issued.

what is that cop trying to pull people for?

I'd hold off on the lounge until all this calms down. #1 the cops should be there to help you, not harass you or your customers. #2 The warrant should be as good as dead right about now. They have the requirement to let you know about your warrant promptly for a quick and fair trial, I dont think that was either quick, or prompt. So it's sunk IMO. Get through this shit and you'll be the biggest smoke attraction in Vegas.

well, you shouldn't be operating a bar/ lounge that isn't legal yet and by having a warrant, you did something a long time ago and they got a warrant. They have them in the system, and they stay in the system until they are served. Cops see them when they run your license /ssn / information. What is screwed up about that? Don't do anything wrong and you won't have a warrant.

It sucks you had shytty luck this week, but keep your head up it will get better, but don't blame the cops for a warrant you had outstanding.

It sucks they are harrassing your customers and such, wait until you get your stuff in order and once you become legit, then go to the chief of police and file a complaint with the officer's superior.

:edited:- this sounded harsh, and it's not ment to be harsh, just wanting you to understand that , that's how a warrant works. You get one for the crime that was committed , then when they see you again they pick you up. It's also used a lot for those that skip their court apperances (aka fta) and how will they be able to arrest you if you don't show up!? - just an example.

For when you are legit, Neal, you will be too legit to quit.

Statute of Limitations - A common law legal system might have a statute limiting the time for prosecution of crimes called misdimeanors to two years after the offense occurred. In that statute, if a person is discovered to have committed a misdemeanor three years ago, the time has expired for the prosecution of the misdemeanor. Or a contract can only be sued upon for breach of performance from six years after the contracted performance became due.

Statute of limitiations does not usually apply to warrants. Usually S.O.L. are used for "rape" , "abuse", "robbery","assult" and other cases like that, were a victim has a specific amount of time after a crime is committed to press charges. After that time, than the S.O.L comes into play and they (the criminal) can not be prosecuted for those charges.

Again. w/ warrants you do not usually have a S.O.L.. Also, they do not have to notify you, only "attempt" to notify you. If they could "notify" you of your warrant, then they should be arresting you at that time, for said warrant.

From there, usually (not always) the warrant is entered into the NCIC / FCIC machines and if they deem it fit, will put an extradition on it, and have all the states looking for you. Some are only local warrants, where the agency that got the warrant keeps the warrant in their records and only wants to extradite you from their local jurisdiction.

Hope that helps people who have a lack of understanding of how a warrant works.

again. Neal. Keep your head up. Maybe, if you are super nice and respectful and apologize the judge will drop the warrant if it's for something dumb .

be careful with not having a license because it becomes a federal affair with the bereau of alcohol tobacco and firearms

oo good point, didnt think about that, i know you can play the system better for other business but ya when teh ATF gets involved that would be an issue

Actaully from what I was reading up on Nevada law. As a sole propriteir we can operate the same business from more then 1 location on the same liscense. We always pull new ones at each location to hold down any confusion. We have been testing stuff out as well as letting people smoke for free to see what we can handle.

The last time when I was arrested I had only maybe 15 people there not one bowl paid for nor were they to be paidfor. One of the kids opened earlier in the day and tried to charge everyone It was tough handing back every last dime even soda money. But I said everyone smokes for free so thats what I had to do to sleep better that night. Who knew that my sleep would be in a jail that night.

Its okay because now my smoke shop may turn in to a lounge next. We are looking at a vip room again as well as 4 Booths. OOppss I bet that was not their plans when they pulled that crap. lol

As many of you know I will mae cake from Mud pies when I have a few minutes to calm down.

Oh wow.. I cant believe that bullshit.. Honestly, this isnt like some anti-usa crap, but I am seriously starting to hate the police in this country and the way everything is ran...
I go to other countries and they are nice as hell. Like Puerto Rico for example, I go there, I could drive drunk all around the island, go park in the most shady of places on beaches and whatnot, and they dont care, they just wave and keep going.

2 things, Puerto Rico is part of the United States and you think being able to drive drunk and possibly kill someone is a GOOD thing? It's people like YOU that make the police have to be hard asses.
